DESCRIPTION
A rich aqua colored half gallon that is profusely embossed as shown, in heavily raised lettering: "HAINES IMPROVED NE PLUS ULTRA PATd APRIL 1ST 1868 MCH 1TH 1870 NOV 2d 1875". The jar is a beautiful example with sparkling and whittly glass and no damage or stains at all. Original glass lid with dual serrated ramps, is also in fine shape. Replica metal clip. Base: "PUTNAM GLASS WORKS ZANESVILLE, O" encircling a large "1". A goregous example of this highly-appealing early jar.
