DESCRIPTION
An aqua odd-closured quart that is embossed "THE CHAMPION PAT AUG 31 1869". Scarce correct original glass lid and fine original cast iron yoke clamp with thumbscrew and spanner bar. Fine condition throughout, with clean glass and no damage or stains. Normal ground rim roughness that is entirely from the manufacturing. Base: 3. A great example of this highly-appealing early jar.
