Closure: original glass lid and clamp
Appearance: seedy glass is shiny
Condition: surface nick on the shoulder

Base: "PUTNAM 8" with a backwards-embossed "N"
Age: late 1800's
Availability: one of the earliest Lightning jars, and a rarity for any Lightning jar to display a mold-maker's error
