Size: ONE GALLON measuring roughly 12 inches tall
Color: COLORLESS
Closure: Original nickel-plated brass cap with lug and CFJCo logo on the top (The lid has a vertical split in the metal threads, but is still good and solid. As a side note, a good number of spare perfect lids for this jar have been in circulation for many years, yet very few jars have ever shown up)
Appearance: sparkling glass throughout
Condition: no damage, normal flaking of the ground mouth
Embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: 1870's
Availability: Rare even in aqua, but this jar is previously unreported in clear glass. This great jar is fresh from an old collection and has never before been on the market.
