Size: WIDE MOUTH SQUATTY PINT
Color: BLUE-AQUA
Closure: original glass lid (cornflower blue) that measures 3-5/8 inches in diameter, and original 3-piece wire clamp
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: excellent with no damage (has a small manufacturer's underfill on the neck bead, seen in the lip photo, left of the mold seam)
Embossing: strong
Base: "ATLAS EZ SEAL TRADE MARK REG"
Age: early 1900's
Availability: Very little is known about the history of this jar, or why only a few were made. Perhaps it was under consideration to compete with the "Ball Eclipse Wide Mouth" series being made by the competition. Prior to the recent discovery of this example at an antique shop in the state of Maine, only one example of this jar was known to exist. That one is missing the clamp and lid, making this pint the only known complete example. The jar has not been found in any other sizes. A fantastic rarity that would make a fine addition to any collection.
