DESCRIPTION

Closure: original glass lid with 1869 patent date and a replica wire clamp
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: No damage. In the back is an extremely small manufacturer's potstone, which under magnification shows the tiniest radiations. Not a significant condition issue, but needs to be mentioned.
Embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: 1870's
Availability: Rare in this small size. We've only sold a couple of these in the last 15 years, and this is a fine-looking example.
