Size: QUART
Color: off -white milk glass
Closure: original clear glass lid and original wire bail
Appearance: good
Condition: like new
Embossing: strong
Base: "75" and "A3"
Age: 1974
Availability: Extremely rare, only a few examples known. A small run of about 30 jars in this color was made in 1974 by Thatcher Glass of NJ, while they had the mold for the purpose of running a test run of clear Bicentennial jars for Ball. However it's reported that most of the jars broke, leaving only a handful of intact specimens. The tank of glass used to make these was the color used for Old Spice aftershave bottles, a milk glass with a creamy greenish-tan tint. No lids were pressed, so the correct lid is clear.
