DESCRIPTION

Size: QUART, measuring approximately 7-1/2 inches tall to the lip

Color: glazed stoneware

Closure:  Original aqua glass lid with 1893 Farrar patent date (edge chips), and original elaborate wire clamp assembly. The wire clamp is fairly solid and intact overall, with the exception of one spot were the wire has rusted through. This is located on the main bail wire, at the point where the main bail wire hinges at the neck.

Appearance:  good

Condition:  The jar is in good shape. There is a flat chip on the neck collar as shown, but the chip is covered in glaze, indicating that the chip was done in the manufacturing.

Embossing:  n/a

Base: unmarked

Age:  late 1800's

Availability: extremely rare
