An early aqua food jar with fancy panels, a rolled lip finish, and a pushed-in tubular open pontil scarred base. Crude glass character with seed bubbles and no damage with the exception of a pontil crack as shown that occurred in the manufacturing. Measures 8-1/4 inches tall, roughly a quart or a little less in size. American c1840-1850.
