A beautiful quart sized example with sharp embossing, brilliant glass, and in fine condition without damage or stains. The inner mouth is formed with two lugs to accept the lugged style stopper. Both mouth lugs are essentially perfect, which is rare. The stopper is a rare near-perfect example as well, with only a single flake on one of the bottom sloping ramps. Smooth base. A gorgeous example of this appealing early jar.
From the Philip Robinson Museum Collection. This particular jar was one of the group of jars used by Phil in his presentation: "THE PARABLE OF THE JARS".
