DESCRIPTION
An aqua full half gallon sized stopper jar embossed with alternating rows of depressed circles and squares, and 3 lines of block lettering: "NE PLUS ULTRA AIR TIGHT FRUIT JAR / MADE BY BODINE & BROS WMsTOWN NJ / FOR THEIR PATENT GLASS LID". Brilliant glass displaying a lovely whittled effect all over. Beautiful condition, with one small chip on the applied ring collar mouth. Smooth base. No glass lid. This is the largest of the 4 sizes in which this jar was manufactured.
This item is from the Philip Robinson Museum collection, and was one of the jars used by the Reverend Robinson in his popular presentation "PARABLE of the JARS".
