DESCRIPTION
Size: HALF GALLON
Color: AQUAMARINE
Closure: Fine original cast iron clamp assembly, consisting of the original cast iron cage frame, original cast iron thumbscrew, original dome shaped iron cap, original tin insert liner in the cap, and original sealing gasket. The impressed lettering is all clearly visible on the iron cap, and some traces of the original black painted finish remain.
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: shallow chipping on the ground mouth
Embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: 1860's
Availability: rare in all sizes, but especially in this larger size, and a fantastic example
