Help: Bidding |
Logging in- You must first log in to bid on auctions or view your account page. Click the "Sign In" link at the top of any page on the site, and enter your username and password. REMEMBER THAT YOUR PASSWORD IS CASE SENSITIVE. The system will not keep you logged on for an extended period of time. In order to insure that the site operates smoothly under traffic, your session will terminate with inactivity. If you forget your password or username, simply email us at the link on the home page, using your registered email account. Auctions - Items are sold to the highest bidder. Bidding on an auction is done in specified increments. The user with the highest sucessful bid "wins" the auction. Our auctions utilize a Proxy Bidding system (see definition below). Proxy Bidding - An automatic method of bidding that increases your bid to the next lowest price when another user bids on the same item. Your bid is increased until your maximum bid amount is reached or the auction ends. Minimum Bidding Increments -
Snipe Bidding & "10-minute rule"- If a "snipe" bid is placed (bid placed very near the end of the auction) the auction ending time is automatically extended, usually by 10 minutes. The auction time extensions will continue until no further bids are placed. Browsing Issues - The site operates on shared servers and therefore up-time and browsing speed will vary, depending on site and web traffic. For this reason, we encourage you to place your bid early in the auction. The proxy bidding system will then keep your maximum bid a secret and will place bids in small increments as needed during the progress of the auction. In this way you will avoid problems during the last minute scramble at the close of the auction.Reserve - The Reserve price, if used, is the minimum dollar amount that would be accepted for an item. Auctions utilizing a Reserve price will be so designated. Buyers are notified after placing their bid if it is below the Reserve price. If a Buyer's maximum bid is greater than the Reserve price, the Reserve is automatically met and that user is the high bidder. Buyer's Premium- The A 10% Buyers Premium will be added to the final closing price and reflected on the winning bidder's invoice.Ask The Seller - At the bottom of every listing there is a "Comments" section where you can ask us a question about the item, or view previous questions from other users. To ask a question about an item:
We will always try to respond to questions within 24 hours.
